A Myfxbook Widget Alternative: Live, Free, and With No Ads Behind It

Looking for an alternative to the Myfxbook widget for your website? Seven interactive widgets and eleven self-updating images for MT4, MT5, cTrader and TradeLocker accounts, free, linking to a page with no adverts.

The Myfxbook widget is the one most traders know: a small box with gain and drawdown that you paste on your site or under your forum posts. If you are here, you are probably looking for something it does not give you.

This page is about the widget only: what a widget on your own website should do, what ShowMyTrades offers, and how to switch without losing anything. For the wider comparison between the two services, see ShowMyTrades as a Myfxbook alternative.

A fair note first: Myfxbook has widgets, they are free, and it has a community that took years to build. You do not have to leave it to use ours. Both connect read-only, so the same account can be on both.

๐ŸŽฏ What the Click on a Widget Is Worth

A widget on your site does two jobs. It shows a number, and it gives the reader a link to check that number somewhere you do not control.

The second job is the one that matters, and it depends on what is on the page behind the link.

If you sell an EA, a signal or a course, the first row is the whole argument. The visitor you paid to bring to your site clicks your widget to verify you, and lands on a page that shows them other products. On ShowMyTrades the page behind the widget contains your results and nothing else.

๐Ÿงฉ What You Get Instead

Seven interactive widgets, live inside your page:

Equity CurveOne chart, five views: Growth, Balance, Profit, Growth by Trade, Drawdown

Complete DashboardThe full account page with its verification badges

Eleven self-updating images, for the places where code is not allowed: forum signatures, emails, READMEs. PNG or SVG, in light, dark or transparent, with HTML, Markdown and BBCode ready to copy. They redraw themselves when your trading data changes.

What makes them fit a real website:

  • They follow your design. Light, dark or automatic theme, a custom background with transparency, and on the charts a colour for every line.
  • They resize themselves. Width in percent, height adjusted by the widget to its own content.
  • They survive a rename. Change the public link of your account and the old address redirects: a widget pasted a year ago keeps working.
  • They respect your privacy settings. Hide lot sizes, open trades, stop levels, comments or the account number once, and every widget hides them too.
  • They have no price. No paid tier unlocks the widgets, and none removes ads, because there are none.

๐Ÿ” Switching Without Losing Anything

You are not migrating. You are adding a second read-only connection to the same account, and both keep running.

  1. Sign up free and open Add Account.
  2. Connect the same trading account with its read-only investor password, the same view-only password you may already have given Myfxbook. Nothing changes on the Myfxbook side.
  3. Wait for the history to import. It comes from the broker, so the figures are computed from the same trades.
  4. Set the account to Published and open Widgets.
  5. Copy the code and replace the old widget on your site.

Step 5 can wait. Many people keep both for a while: the Myfxbook link for the audience already there, the ShowMyTrades widget on their own pages. The step-by-step for the embed itself is in how to show your MT4 or MT5 results on your website.

๐Ÿ” Will the Numbers Match?

Mostly, and where they differ there is a reason.

  • Growth on ShowMyTrades is a time-weighted return: deposits and withdrawals do not move it. Services that compute gain the same way land on very close figures.
  • Drawdown depends on whether floating losses are counted and how often equity is sampled. Two trackers reading the same account can show different maximum drawdowns for that reason alone.
  • Dates and time zones can shift a trade from one day or month to the next.

A reader comparing the two pages should find the same story, not necessarily the same second decimal. If something is far apart, write to us: it is worth looking at.

๐Ÿšง What ShowMyTrades Does Not Do

  • No community. There are no forums, no followers feed, no discussions. If the audience on Myfxbook is what brings you buyers, keep your page there.
  • No copy trading. We publish track records and the tools to read them. Nothing here copies trades between accounts.

โ“ FAQ

Can I use both widgets at the same time? Yes. The connections are read-only and independent. Many traders run both.

Is the ShowMyTrades widget free? Yes, all seven widgets and all eleven images, with no limit on how many sites you paste them on.

Does it work on a forum signature like the Myfxbook one? Yes, with the Dynamic Image format: copy the BBCode from the builder. Details in trading results in a forum signature, email or chat.

I trade on cTrader or TradeLocker. Can I have a widget? Yes. cTrader connects through its official OAuth, TradeLocker with the login your broker or prop firm issued. The widgets are the same.

Is the account verified? There are two separate badges: Track Record Verified for data that arrives from the broker, Trading Privileges Verified for proof that you control the account. How to get them.

Will my old Myfxbook widget stop working if I connect here? No. Nothing changes on the Myfxbook side when you add a connection here.

Try it before you decide: open the widget builder, pick any public account and see the widget on your own page. Then connect your account free.
